  • For more information on the activities of the working group, check out our website.

Women in Informatics Research and Education

The ‘Women in Informatics Research and Education Working Group’ (WIRE) is preparing a new edition of its popular best practice booklet offering deans and department heads tips and recommendations for increasing the participation of women as both students and faculty members. The booklet will be issued later this year to all Informatics Europe members.

The WIRE Working Group is also setting up a network of national contacts who are active in groups or associations promoting gender balance in Informatics at a national level.  There is a lot to be gained in exchanging and co-ordinating experiences among countries.

  • If you know a suitable candidate for your country, please contact Jane Hillston, Chair of the WIRE Working Group.
