The main building of TU Wien is situated in the vibrant cultural centre of the town (see map below). Currently, there are more than 3000 researchers and more than 28 000 students working and studying at TU Wien. Celebrating its 200th anniversary this year, the university looks back at a rich history marked with many successes and highlights.

The Faculty of Informatics at the Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien) is the largest computer science faculty in the German-speaking region of Europe. Owing to its excellence in research and teaching, it ranks among the top three computer science departments at German-language universities in Europe. 55 professors and 350 researchers explore a large variety of fields ranging from Logic and Computation, Distributed and Parallel Systems, and Business Informatics to Computer Engineering, Media Informatics and Visual Computing. Three out of eight Master programs and all of the PhD programs are taught in English, which renders the Faculty an attractive place for international students and staff.

Innovation is a strong motivator for the researchers at the Faculty of Informatics. Cooperation with businesses and industries plays an important role and has resulted in several successful research centers and laboratories with more than 150 employees. The Welcome Reception on October 12 (from 19:00) will be at Künstlerhaus, Karlsplatz 5, 1010 Vienna. Prior to the reception, participants are welcome to attend the ARTEMATICA 2015 Wolfgang Pauli Lectures, also at the Künstlerhaus.

The two Pre-Summit Workshops and the ECSS 2015 will be held in TU Wien, Main Building (First Floor), Karlplatz 13, 1040 Vienna in the following rooms:

The Conference Dinner on October 13 (from 19:30) will be  at the traditional Viennese restaurant Heuriger 10er Marie, Ottakringer Strasse 222-224, 1160 Vienna (meeting point to go to the restaurant at the lobby of the TU Wien main building at 18:45)
