This workshop aims at addressing issues of gender within the context of computing and engineering studies. The following points will be of interest:

  • Learning from an example of best practice, Carnegie Mellon University, US
  • Offering a networking platform for gender and technology experts within the EU
  • Initiating a network of Berlin-Brandenburg universities and universities of applied sciences
  • Examining global perspectives and applying them to the European context: What can Europe learn from Asian countries like Pakistan and China as to implementing computing and technology studies which attract and retain men and women alike?
