European Computer Science Summit

The European Computer Science Summit (ECSS) is since 2005 yearly organized by Informatics Europe. Traditionally a summit of deans, department chairs and senior faculty of leading European Computer Science and Informatics faculties, departments, research institutes and laboratories, its origin intertwines with the one of Informatics Europe, created as a result of the first two Summits, held at ETH Zurich in October 2005 and October 2006.

ECSS conferences are the meeting place for anyone interested in timely strategic issues of research, education and policy in Informatics. Along the years some of the most influential computer scientists including Moshe Vardi, Joseph Sifakis, Leslie Lamport and key leaders from industry and government have been among the speakers and helped to established ECSS as one of the most important meetings of the European Informatics community.
