Ms Anguera is replacing Dr Cristina Pereira who has been the Informatics Europe Executive Director since May 2010. Informatics Europe thanks Dr Pereira for her outstanding contributions and dedicated work over these eleven years. In her farewell note, Dr Pereira confirms: "It has been a long, fruitful, and complex journey, which I have thoroughly enjoyed. I have grown and matured, in some ways in parallel with the organization's growth and development. I started in 2010 when I was 34 years old and just married, and am leaving now with almost 45 and two kids. From the perspective of my oldest kid, who is now 8 years old, a lifetime. [...] I have worked with four Presidents and numerous Board members from all over Europe, all outstanding individuals with a diversity of ideas, skills and talents. I have learned a lot from them and it has been an honour to work together for the shared  mission of making the Informatics academic community stronger and more influential in Europe. It has also been a pleasure to share the care for the organization with a number of bright people working with me in the office in Zurich, who greatly contributed to many important projects and activities of Informatics Europe."

CP

On behalf of all members, Board and the Office, Informatics Europe wishes Dr Pereira all the best for her future endeavours.
