About Malta
Malta is a popular tourist destination known for its warm climate, breathtaking landscapes, remarkable history, colourful architecture, and friendly people. Being a small country, it allows travelers to easily navigate from different towns and islands - Malta, Gozo, and Comino and explore the entire country in one trip.
ECSS2024 will be held in Sliema, a lively resort located on the northeast coast of Malta and easily accessible from the international airport and Malta's capital Valetta. Sliema is famous for its seaside promenade, rocky beaches, shopping facilities, bars, dining, and café life.
On Tuesday evening, a short sightseeing tour in Mdina will be organized, allowing ECSS participants to immerse themselves into the history of the old capital of Malta, also known as a "Silent City" or "Città Notabile" (Notable City), and to admire squares, churches and fortifications until reaching a scenic viewpoint.
