ERCIM Fellowship Programme – The September round is open soon!

ERCIM - The European Research Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics is pleased to announce that applications will open beginning of August for the ERCIM Alain Bensoussan Fellowship Programme, a prestigious 12-month postdoctoral fellowship open to researchers worldwide. Fellowships will be  hosted at one of the ERCIM member institutes participating in this call:

• CNR (Italy) 
• CWI (Netherlands)
• Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft (Germany).
• INESC TEC (Portugal)
• NTNU (Norway)
• RISE Research Institutes of Sweden AB (Sweden)

Research topics

The programme covers a broad range of fields including:

• Computer Science
• Information and Communication Technology
• Applied Mathematics.

Terms and conditions

Fellows will be appointed for a period of 12 months under either:

• A stipend (an agreement for a research training programme), or
• A working contract.

Remuneration (stipend or salary) will vary according to the host institute's policies.
Each researcher may be awarded a maximum of two fellowships (only one new selection is possible).

Eligibility:

Applicants must:

• Have obtained a PhD degree within the last 8 years (prior to the application year deadline) or be in the final year of their doctoral studies with an outstanding academic record.  Please note that proof of PhD must be provided before the fellowship begins.
• Submit the online application form along with:
  • A detailed curriculum vitae
  • A list of publications
  • Two scientific papers in English
  • Contact details of two referees
• Be available to start the fellowship no later than 1 April 2027.

Mobility Conditions 

To foster international mobility: 

• A candidate cannot be hosted by an institute in their country of nationality.
• A candidate is ineligible to be hosted by an institute if they have already worked there (including for a PhD or postdoc) for six months or more during the last three years, as of the application deadline.
