Meeting of the Informatics National Associations - On Research Evaluation
Last week we had the great honour to welcome the representatives of eleven European National Associations in Informatics at our headquarters in Zurich.
This meeting was the second of its kind and is part of an initiative that was started by Informatics Europe during the ECSS 2018 last year in October. This time the main question at stake was how research evaluation is done in different European countries and in how far we can learn and benefit from each other. The following National Associations in Informatics were part of the meeting:

UK: CPHC - Council of Professors and Heads of Computing.
Additional support and important input were also given by further representatives from the University of Bologna, the Schloss Dagstuhl - Leibniz Center for Informatics, and CNRS - Centre national de la recherche scientifique.
All in all, it was a fruitful day of exchanging ideas, networking and brainstorming together, and we are looking forward to continuing collaboration in the future.
