Informatics Europe warmly acknowledges Harald Gall (University of Zurich, Switzerland) and Lenuta Alboaie (Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași, Romania), whose terms as IE Board Directors conclude at the end of 2025.

We thank both directors for the insight, dedication and steady leadership they have contributed throughout their tenure. During their Board service, both directors have played a significant role to IE’s mission, contributing its growth, impact, and strategic alignment with timely challenges in research, education, and community development. On the operational side, we have seen both, Lenuta and Harald, chairing ECSS workshops, integrating Awards committees, contributing IE Working Groups, and supporting strategic planning for services such as the Department Assessment Service or EU projects coordination.

Exiting BoD 2025 Harald

A three-term IE Board Director (2020–2025), Harald chaired several editions of the Leaders WS and, more recently, coordinated the IE’s Department Assessment Service. He will continue as a member of the IE Board Election Committee.

Exiting BoD 2025 Lenuta

Lenuta has served a term on the IE Board (2023–2025), contributing several working groups and EU proposals, while also leading an academia-industry ECSS session in 2023 and the Open Science - Open Source WS this year.

Their efforts have helped shape a stronger and more connected IE community. We are deeply appreciative of the impact their service has made and the lasting foundations they leave for future Board work.
