Job Description

The University of Rennes, #1 in France for Computer Science (according to ARWU 2025),  is opening an Assistant Professor position (tenured) in Software Engineering and related fields.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong skills in languages, programming, or software science: Web, distributed information systems, advanced software architectures. They will be expected to play an active role in the ISTIC software engineering teaching team. Responsibility for a teaching or training unit will be considered in the short term.

They must demonstrate solid research experience in languages, programming, or software engineering and be involved in the life of the IRISA laboratory and collective responsibility. Involvement in local or site research initiatives is also expected.

Rennes is the Capital of Brittany, located close to the sea and 1 hour 25' West of Paris through a new dedicated High Speed Train line.
