Job Description

The UOC is looking to hire affiliated teaching staff for the academic year 2026/2027.

Affiliated teaching staff need to have experience and currently be employed in their field. The Universitat Oberta de Catalunya needs professionals whose main professional activity is linked to the position they are applying for, enabling them to provide a quality service. Therefore, applicants must have a main professional activity that they will maintain alongside their work as affiliated teaching staff.

Now we are looking for:

Course instructor for the "Internship" course in the Bachelor's degree in Techniques for Software Development, where students develop a software project in the context of a real company. The course is taught completely in English.

The collaboration with the UOC will be based on the provision of professional services.

Requirements

  • BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Professional experience in an IT or software development company. 
  • Experience mentoring co-workers in a professional setting.
  • Teaching experience at a university (undergraduate) level.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in English at a C2 level (or equivalent). 
  • The candidate should provide a cover letter in English.
  • Having a separate main line of work is an indispensable requirement for the selection process.  

Also of interest

  • Experience in distance learning environments (e.g., Moodle, MOOCs)
  • English as a native language.
