The University of Rennes, #1 in France for Computer Science (according to ARWU 2025), is opening a Full Professor position (tenured) in Software Engineering.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate significant experience in teaching languages, programming, or software engineering. They will be expected to play an active role in the ISTIC software engineering teaching team and take on short-term training responsibilities.
The successful candidate must have solid experience and visible contributions in research in languages, programming, software engineering, or secure and large-scale systems. They must be involved in leading major research projects at the national and European level and be actively involved in the life of the IRISA laboratory located in Rennes.
Rennes is the Capital of Brittany, located close to the sea and 1 hour 25' West of Paris through a new dedicated High Speed Train line.
